Welcoming someone is more than a greeting. It is an invitation to come and find rest.

We have started the Welcome Project to respond to the needs of refugees who currently find themselves as sojourners seeking a new place to call their own. Our hope is to create a community of kindness and hospitality that will respond to the current refugee situation.

In August of 2021, the Taliban regime took control of Afghanistan. As a result, over 100,000 people evacuated the country. This evacuation included more than 50,000 Afghanistan citizens that were vulnerable to Taliban retaliation due to their assistance with peacekeeping forces.

Today, more than 50,000 Afghans are waiting on US military bases for the opportunity to resettle in US cities.

Our response to this crisis is three fold:

  • Provide Direct Support for Afghan Resettlement

  • Mobilize The Church to Engage Locally

  • Seek Partnerships To Multiply Our Efforts
